Theracos,
Inc. is a privately held pharmaceutical research and development
company located in Sunnyvale, California. The company was founded in
2000 with the mission to develop novel therapeutic agents for
diseases with significant unmet medical need. It currently has five
internal development programs underway in three therapeutic areas:
metabolism, inflammation, and psychiatry. The most advanced program,
in Phase II clinical trials, is directed toward the treatment
of obesity.
Theracos is well positioned to accomplish its development and
commercialization objectives due to its understanding of the
marketplace and its network of partners. The company has a strong
advisory team in toxicology, formulation development, QA/QC,
regulatory, clinical, and trial design and execution. The team
members have over 10-20 years of experience each in their areas of
expertise.
